Plano, Texas – May 11, 2015 Intelliun Corporation announced that it’s pushing forward with its IU.me launch this summer 2015. Not reaching its Kickstarter funding goal was a little disappointment but has no bearing on the IU.me launch plans.
On April 8th, Intelliun launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund the launch of IU.me, a cloud platform for social networking, collaboration, organization and automation both for personal and business use. Given the very low chance of success of similar campaigns on Kickstarter, Intelliun knew it would be a long shot, but still moved forward with it as a vehicle to kickstart its social media effort and pave the way for IU.me summer launch. In the conclusion of the 30-day campaign, Intelliun achieved only 41% of its funding goal.
“It was a great learning experience for us that we’ll be able to apply to our IU.me launch,” said Iyad Jabri, CEO of Intelliun. “We knew the odds were against us and we’ve done many of the steps that crowdfunding books and articles talk about. However, nothing prepares you for this experience short of going through it or hiring a firm that does it for a living. We’ve documented many of our lessons learned in a blog at ksblog.iu.me to share with the crowdfunding community.”
The development of IU.me continues and is still on track for a Summer 2015 launch. As the date nears, an Early Access Program will be announced.
